June brings a unique exhibit to ARTWORKS around town. Titled “Before and After”, the show will kick off with a free reception at the Gallery on Friday, June 6 at 5:30 p.m.
The exhibit was the brainchild of member artist Bobbi Priebe, who suggested the Gallery host this event. It will include at least two works of art from each member. One would be an early piece and the second one a more recent example of their talents. These pieces will be done in various mediums. It will be interesting to see how artists have grown over their careers.

ARTWORKS curator, Janet Sheehan stated, “The goal of this show is to show your best work now but also to demonstrate the nature of artists growth, change and evolution and to encourage the viewer to overcome their own creative fears.” It is always a challenge to judge one’s own work and whether we have gotten better over time. Come help us decide!
ARTWORKS around town is a non profit gallery and cultural center for the people of the area and is open six days a week from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and Fridays until 6 in Wheeling’s Historic Centre Market.
