Oglebay Park is our destination on Thursday, October 9, 2025. Two thousand acres of picturesque beauty. Panoramic views, the Good Zoo, Schenk Lake, Waddington Farm buildings, and so much more to select as inspiration. On Friday, enjoy the experience of expanding venues by traveling to Belmont County, Ohio. The Shaffer-Campbell Covered Bridge built in 1875, the Great Western Schoolhouse, a listing on the National Register of Historic Places, or an adventure to Barkcamp State Park; just a few places to set-up your easel. The final day of painting will take place in the greater Wheeling Area. Perhaps you will select the oldest stone arch bridge in WV, a quiet moment along the edge of the Ohio River, or the changing cityscape of Downtown Wheeling. Create a new look or explore familiar subjects. Allow the color of the season to influence your subject selections, the choice is yours.
The awards ceremony and Wet Paint Show & Sale will be held Sunday afternoon October 12th in the Artworks Gallery located in the Centre Market. Lisa Rasmussen will be judging this year’s contest entries. A professional illustrator, designer and artist for most of her career, Rasmussen works in a variety of media both traditional and digital. Many of us know Lisa from the time she spent at the Stifle Fine Arts Center.
